How to use Subtitle Studio
Turn audio or video into clean SRT subtitles, readable reel captions, and natural Hinglish captions for editing in Premiere Pro.
Workflow Breakdown
Follow these steps whenever you start a new subtitle file.
- Add an API key
Use the free app key for now, or switch to your own AssemblyAI key if you want billing under your account.
- Upload audio or video
Drop in an audio file or a video file. Video audio extracts automatically before transcription.
- Clean noisy audio
Turn on background-noise reduction when the clip has fan sound, room hum, hiss, or steady background noise.
- Record a voice note
Use the voice recorder when you want to transcribe a fresh take without uploading a file.
- Choose caption style
Smart readable captions keep subtitles short and adjust the word count around sentence breaks.
- Generate and download
Create the transcript and SRT, review the output, then download the .srt file for Premiere Pro.
Quick fixes
Common issues you might see while making subtitles.
Why is transcription taking time?
Large video files take longer because audio is extracted, uploaded, transcribed, and then converted into subtitle blocks.
Why do I need word timestamps?
Word timestamps help make short reel-style captions and tighter subtitle timing.
What should I do if Hinglish is not perfect?
Use the Hindi output as the base, open the Hinglish helper, and paste back the corrected SRT when needed.
